You represent the talent. We can be the petitioner.
Agencies and managers are often the natural agent in an O-1B or P-1 filing. But petitioner of record means service of process, corporate standing and USCIS obligations for the full validity period. Aventus takes the petitioner role; your agency keeps the representation.
- Since 2019
- Hundreds of petitions filed
- 50+ firms served
- Petitioner of record on O-1 and P-1 filings
- Not a law firm
Figures are historical since 2019 and include petitions and firms served through affiliated entities.
When your agency should not be the petitioner
Foreign agency
The agency has no U.S. entity that can sign as a U.S. agent.
Liability policy
The agency does not want to carry petitioner obligations for every client.
Many venues and promoters
A tour or season with several U.S. engagements under one itinerary.
No admin capacity
Nobody on the team should be handling USCIS correspondence for years.
Tour and season itineraries
Agent filings for multiple engagements need an itinerary with dates, venues and promoters, plus contracts or a summary of terms for each engagement. Counsel prepares the filing; Aventus signs as agent and supports the petitioner documents.
Working with the talent's counsel
The artist's or athlete's attorney owns the strategy and the category. Aventus works with the attorney the talent already has. If there is no attorney yet, the talent chooses one.
What Aventus signs and keeps on file
- The I-129 as U.S. agent petitioner
- The petitioner-beneficiary agreement
- Agent agreements with the engagements, where the structure calls for them
- USCIS correspondence for the validity period
How a partner matter works
- Sign up as a partner. A short form with a few facts about your practice or the case. No commitment.
- We confirm terms. A member of our partner team follows up to confirm petitioner fit and partner terms in writing.
- Agreements are signed. The petitioner-beneficiary agreement, plus the itinerary and summary-of-terms support the structure needs, prepared alongside counsel.
- Filing and the validity period. We stay the petitioner. You stay counsel.
Partner terms
| Partner rate | $1,000 per matter, paid by the law firm |
|---|---|
| What it covers | The scope for your matter is confirmed in writing after sign-up. |
| Who pays | The law firm. The $1,000 partner rate applies only when the firm pays for the matter. |
| White-label | Ask after sign-up. |
| Turnaround | Confirmed after sign-up, based on your filing date. |
Government filing fees and any optional premium processing fee are separate and payable to USCIS. Aventus does not charge for legal services because it does not provide them.

Questions partners ask
Does the agency still get paid as agent?
Your commercial terms with the talent are unchanged. The petition describes the engagements; it does not replace your management agreement.
Can promoters be employers under the itinerary?
Promoters and venues commonly appear as engagements in an itinerary. Counsel decides how each one is documented.
What about support staff?
Support personnel are handled case by case. Ask after sign-up and we will confirm what we can petition for.
Is Aventus a law firm?
No. Aventus is a professional petitioner service and does not provide legal advice.
