Hire or engage O-1 talent. Let a U.S. agent be the petitioner.
For startups without an immigration desk, foreign companies without a U.S. entity, and institutions engaging a visiting expert across several sites. Aventus files Form I-129 as U.S. agent petitioner; your company signs an engagement, not a petition.
- Since 2019
- Hundreds of petitions filed
- 50+ firms served
- Petitioner of record on O-1 and P-1 filings
- Not a law firm
Figures are historical since 2019 and include petitions and firms served through affiliated entities.
Why employers use an agent petition
Contractor or consulting model
The talent works with you on defined engagements rather than as a traditional employee.
No U.S. entity
A foreign company can authorize a U.S. agent to file for its staff.
Several sites or clients
One petition can cover several engagements with an itinerary.
No immigration capacity
Your team does not have to take on the petitioner role or its correspondence.
What Aventus does, and what stays with your company
Aventus, as petitioner of record
- Signs and files Form I-129 as U.S. agent petitioner
- Acts as U.S. agent for the engagements in the itinerary
- Maintains the petitioner-beneficiary agreement
- Receives service of process and USCIS correspondence, and forwards it to counsel
- Keeps its corporate standing current for the validity period
- Coordinates with counsel on requests for evidence, amendments and extensions
Your company and your counsel
- Legal strategy and the choice of visa category
- Preparation of the I-129 and the evidence package
- Client representation and advice
- Every case-specific legal decision
Aventus does not choose the category, give legal advice, or make promises about outcomes.
Your company keeps the engagement, the compensation and the work. The petitioner role, service of process and USCIS correspondence move to Aventus. Your obligations under the engagement agreements stay yours.
Universities and global-mobility teams
Visiting researchers and consultants often work with more than one institution, and an institution may not be able to petition for someone who is not its employee. An agent petition with an itinerary across the institutions is a structure counsel can evaluate. Aventus acts as the U.S. agent.
Where counsel fits
The petition is prepared by licensed immigration counsel: yours, or an independent attorney you choose. Aventus does not prepare legal filings or give legal advice.
Timing
Standard USCIS processing applies. Premium processing is an optional government service with its own USCIS fee.
How a partner matter works
- Sign up as a partner. A short form with a few facts about your practice or the case. No commitment.
- We confirm terms. A member of our partner team follows up to confirm petitioner fit and partner terms in writing.
- Agreements are signed. The petitioner-beneficiary agreement, plus the itinerary and summary-of-terms support the structure needs, prepared alongside counsel.
- Filing and the validity period. We stay the petitioner. You stay counsel.
Partner terms
| Partner rate | $1,000 per matter, paid by the law firm |
|---|---|
| What it covers | The scope for your matter is confirmed in writing after sign-up. |
| Who pays | The law firm. The $1,000 partner rate applies only when the firm pays for the matter. |
| White-label | Ask after sign-up. |
| Turnaround | Confirmed after sign-up, based on your filing date. |
Government filing fees and any optional premium processing fee are separate and payable to USCIS. Aventus does not charge for legal services because it does not provide them.

Questions partners ask
Do we still need an immigration attorney?
Yes. The petition is prepared by licensed counsel. Aventus is the petitioner, not the lawyer.
Does Aventus become the employer?
No. Aventus files as agent. The working relationship is yours, as described in the engagement agreements.
What if we later want to sponsor directly?
Counsel can advise on moving to a direct employer petition when your company is ready.
What does it cost and who pays?
The $1,000 partner rate applies when your law firm engages us and pays for the matter. If your company is engaging us directly, pricing is confirmed after sign-up.
Can a foreign company with no U.S. presence use this?
Yes. A foreign employer authorizing a U.S. agent is one of the formats the regulations allow. Counsel confirms the fit.
